The Delta Desk

About and corrections

A daily brief of AI-drafted, human edited and verified news shorts.

How these are made
Each short starts as a draft written by a large language model, which searches for the day’s significant stories in a small number of subject areas and summarises them. No draft is published automatically. Every one is read, checked against its sources and edited by a person before it appears here.
What the editor is responsible for
Confirming that the facts, figures and attributions in each short are supported by the sources cited; editing the text rather than passing a model draft through untouched; and writing the “why it matters” line, which is editorial judgement and not a summary.
Sources
Every short links the outlets it draws on. The aim is always the original publisher rather than an aggregator or a site carrying someone else’s wire copy. Some sources are Vietnamese-language and are marked (vi); those shorts are summarised into English.
Corrections
Errors are corrected in place rather than quietly rewritten. When a published short is edited, the page carries an “Updated” timestamp so a reader can see it changed. If something here is wrong, write to contact@sumitnangia.com with the link and what is wrong, and it will be corrected or the short withdrawn.
Privacy and what is collected
This site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data — IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time — in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse. That happens for every site on the internet and is not something The Delta Desk reads or analyses.

Beyond that, this is a commercial publication and will collect more over time. Rather than say “we collect nothing” and quietly change it, here is the full list of what is planned and what it means:
  • Audience measurement. Page view counts, referring site and rough country, to know what is read and to show advertisers. The intent is a cookieless analytics tool that does not build a profile of individual readers or follow them to other sites.
  • Newsletter. If an email subscription is offered, your email address is stored for as long as you stay subscribed, used only to send the brief, and never sold or shared. Unsubscribing removes it.
  • Sponsorship and advertising. This site is intended to be funded by sponsorship and advertising. Sponsored items will always be labelled as such and will never appear as editorial shorts. If any advertising technology is added that sets cookies or tracks across sites, this page will say exactly what and a consent notice will appear before it runs.
None of the above is running today. This page is updated before any of it starts, not after. If you want to know what is collected about you, or want it deleted, write to contact@sumitnangia.com.
